Solar Eclipses

Solar Eclipses In-Person

Learn the basics of solar eclipses as we explore the intricate dance between the Sun, Moon, and Earth in anticipation of the solar eclipse occurring on April 8th, 2024.  UWM Planetarium Director Jean Creighton will discuss the profound impact the study of solar eclipses has had on scientific discoveries and our understanding of the universe.  After the solar eclipse on April 8th, space lovers will have to wait until 2044 to see the next one visible in the U.S.

As part of this program, everyone in attendance will receive a FREE pair of Solar Eclipse Glasses to help view the upcoming Solar Eclipse!

A special thanks to Menomonee Falls CE & REC for co-sponsoring this event to make it possible!
